Rachel Rogers - Coach
Rachel is a highly qualified gymnastics coach working as a Freelance Gymnastics Coach. She provides Inclusive Services to schools and clubs throughout the local area. She has many years’ experience which has included running a local gymnastics club, developing the membership from 35 gymnasts to over 300. Her experience in after school clubs and pre-school sessions includes children with disabilities. Rachel also works as a TA in a local primary school supporting a child with challenging needs and is a local authority respite carer for children with emotional and behaviour needs
Rachel has had a long standing interest in gymnastics which started at the age of 6. She trained and competed for Tetbury, Cotswold and Chippenham Gymnastics Clubs as well as representing her County and the South West. After having her three children, Rachel won Gold and Silver medals at the British Veterans Gymnastics Championship. She is so passionate about gymnastics she has named her car ‘Beth’ after British Olympian Beth Tweddle.

Adele Lawrence - Coach
Adele has many years of experience working with children and young people with additional needs. A Mainstream Plus Foster Carer, looking after children with complex medical and behavioural needs for over ten years. Adele has provided a safe and stable foster home to many children and is currently fostering a 7 year old child with emotional and attachment issues.
During her career as a nursery nurse Adele worked as a Teaching Support Assistant for children with additional needs and is currently working as an independent supporter at Swindon Advocacy Movement. Adele is also the coordinator of SPOKAN (Supporting Parents of Kids with Additional Needs) in Cirencester and Swindon. Adele is empathetic and understanding of the challenges that families are faced with and is especially experienced in understanding challenging behaviours and attachment difficulties.
Leaving the gymnastics to her sister Rachel when they were younger she did however manage to achieve her Gymnastics Badge 4 whilst at school. Whilst Rachel was performing gymnastics, Adele was an Amateur Dramatics enthusiast and her many roles included ‘Daffy’.

Hazel Ford - Administration
Hazel is BEAM’s Administration, Finance and Fundraising expert. She runs a successful business in accountancy and IT Consultancy Services. She also supports many local and national charities through volunteering in roles such as Trustee and In Memoriam Secretary. She was Treasurer of a large gymnastics club for 3 years and was responsible for turning the clubs finances around.
Hazel keeps Adele and Rachel in order and is a key member of the BEAM! Team – always being the first point of contact for our members. She looks after BEAM’s Facebook Page and emails, happily directing any questions or queries to the relevant people. She was paramount in securing funding from the Barnwood Trust and the Gloucestershire Disability Fun. A former Credit Controller, Hazel is in charge of collecting sessions fees……..beware!!
Although she does not profess to have any gymnastics ability she has passed her Gymnastics Badge 8 with the help of Rachel. A keen runner, she has run many half marathons
Oliver Messenger - Volunteer
Oliver is a born entertainer, he makes his family smile everyday with his dancing and acting. He is a huge Disney fan with Beauty and the Beast at the top. He enjoys football with the Downs Syndrome group and music is a huge part of his life. Oliver has two brothers who he loves very much. He lives at home with Mum and Dad.
Hilary Lawrence – Volunteer, Hospitality
This is Hilary, aka Adele and Rachel’s Mum. You will find Hilary at BEAM Open Days and Events, always with a welcoming word and smile, serving hot drinks to our parents, carers and visitors as well as entertaining any siblings whilst our gymnasts enjoy their session. Pop up and say hello to her, there may even be cake!
